“TYPES OF MUSIC”

“Music is the universal language of mankind”

There is music in the air, music all around us; the world is full of it, and you simply take as much as you require. I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.

The list of ‘TYPES OF MUSIC’ is endless , truly it is .

So here I’ll be talking about the types of music genre I usually like to listen. Following is the list of music genre.

ALTERNATIVE METAL

FAMOUS BANDS IN ALTERNATIVE METAL GENRE

I enjoy this so much not only because it combines Heavy Metal and Alternative Rock but also takes influence from other genres too. Examples are Rage Against The Machine who take influence from Hip Hop and Funk, Tool who take influence from Progressive Rock and so on and so on.

CARNATIC MUSIC

INSTRUMENTS USED IN CARNATIC MUSIC

Carnatic music is a classical system of Indian classical music prevalent in southern parts of India. Has a well-groomed system of melodic (raga) and rhythmic(tala) styles.

CONSCIOUS HIP-HOP

Hip Hop music with socially or politically conscious lyrics. I highly enjoy this as this is where some of the most lyrical rappers come from and the artists from this genre, not only have good lyrics/lyrical themes but fantastic rapping and even some great instrumentals as well.

SUFI MUSIC

Sufi is deeply devotional. It varies from meditative to high energy (qawwali) variants. I come across poetry, sublime aspects of life and devotion in sufi music. There are various adaptations of sufi music in filmi(movie) and fusion music.

FILMI (MOVIE MUSIC)

All the songs from movie industries across different parts of India fall into this category. This music is usually composed on situations on the storyline of movies.

Here’s my personal Hindi favorite album from movie “KAL HO NA HO” composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy . There are many such songs in various Indian languages.

FUSION MUSIC

Fusion has elements converging from classical to folk, folk to movie and classical to western. This is an open-for-experimentation genre. Of late, lot of activity is happening on fusion.

Coke studio set the bar high for the benchmarks of Indian fusion music.

AMBIENT MUSIC

Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable

A very calm genre that’s not only good for relaxation, also when I need to sleep or when I have a bad day but it’s also some of the most beautiful stuff I’ve ever heard. Just listen to some music by Sigur_ros and you’ll get what I mean.

Well , this was a short list of types of music genre which i like to listen .Live your truth. Express your love. Share your enthusiasm. Take action towards your dreams. Walk your talk. Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering.

“MY VIEWS ON MUSIC”

“Music is like a dream. Without music, life would be a mistake”

Music offers the redemption from everyday life. It is the liberating factor in our life .

If magic was something that makes me feel a tremendous rush of awe and wonder , then music makes me believe in magic!!

“Sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul need.”

WHEN DOES MUSIC HELPS ?

When everyday life seems to be boring , when humans around are beyond enduring , when the crests are less and the troughs are more , when hopes and dreams seem to washed ashore Music helps!!!

WHAT IS MUSIC TO ME AND ITS ROLE IN MY LIFE ?

For me , music starts my day and ends it too . I have an automated process on my mobile to turn up and play random favourite track as soon as I wake up . Music is the pre-meditation snack for my brain . When I’am working out in the gym , I need the batman background score . When I’am working on something critical , I need my headphones and playlist , else my brain gets bored in an hour or simply refuses to think . Music and Headphones are like my best friends.

HOW DO I FEEL WHEN LISTENING TO MUSIC ?

I feel lots of things listening to music , most of the time . I feel music provides a nice background to feel and stay calm . Some music gives me much more , and I have a trouble putting words on that. Lots of songs gives me such feeling of nostalgia that I’am almost tranferred to another time . Some songs moves me profoundly and makes me cry .

“When you are happy you enjoy the music , when you are sad , you Understand the lyrics”

These are actually the strangest , because these feelings I cannot control at all and at the same time , these are the one’s I cherish the most .

When you understand the lyrics you will start feeling the Music . After all my views on music and how i feel it is . Its time for you to feel too.

“MY FIRST SONG”

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything”

“Life seems to go on without effort when I am filled with music.”

I was pretty much interested in music since my schooling . And after my 10th i got friends who actually supported me by making me understand that i can do it . Then i started to record and post on instagram where i got good comments and views near to 1k .

Well music is not only my hobby but also my best friend and my partner in travelling . You have to take a deep breath and allow the music to flow through you. Revel in it, allow yourself to awe. When you play allow the music to break your heart with its beauty. Only then you will understand the music .

For me music is the tool to express life and music brings a warm glow to my vision, thawing mind and muscle from their endless wintering . Well music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart.
